A blueprint for safely removing Advanced Cluster Management from an OpenShift cluster
OpenShift ACM Cleanup Blueprint¶
This blueprint orchestrates the removal of Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management (ACM) from an OpenShift cluster. It ensures a clean and complete removal of all ACM components and resources.
Requirements¶
Cluster State¶
- ACM must be installed
- No active managed clusters
- Backup of any critical ACM data
- Cluster admin access
Usage¶
Select this blueprint from the cluster management menu when you need to remove Advanced Cluster Management from your cluster. Common scenarios include:
- Decommissioning ACM
- Preparing for fresh ACM installation
- Cluster cleanup operations
- Troubleshooting ACM issues
Verification¶
After the blueprint completes, verify removal by checking: - ACM namespace absence - MultiClusterHub resource removal - Operator subscription cleanup - Related resource cleanup

The blueprint executes these tasks in sequence: 1. openshift-cluster-acm-cleanup: - Removes MultiClusterHub - Deletes operator subscriptions - Cleans up related resources - Removes namespace
